Well done.

Good strong results there.

When mine (FWD 220) was Stage 2, it was making (at the flywheel) approx. 360 hp & 560 Nm.

Galano ECU & TCU tune, IE intercooler, Racingline R600 intake, TIP elbow and APR TIP.

Thank you JR RS,

It is completely different car now. Plenty of smiles yesterday 😁😁😁

My tuner said he could go higher on power but i just wanted safe reliable map usable for everyday driving. He has added some nice burble on overrun but compared to JB4 tune this map is nowhere near as loud as before which i quite like. Soft limiter has also been removed.

Do you still own your Superb?

Pull those plugs out after a couple of thousand miles and check to make sure they are not covered in carbon.

Seems to be an issue with some tunes as the step colder is not really needed over the OEM plug.

I’m sure the car feels completely different now. Mine did.

Makes them such a useful daily tool, and a much more pleasant experience for safe overtaking and general driving.

Very strong torque figure. Is that a pre-GPF?

good idea on being safe and going with a reliable map.
the last thing u want is a cooked engine!!

i always love a good burble.
snap-crackle-pop!!

yup, i still have the Superb - will b 9 yrs next month. 😁
i'll b keeping it for more years to come.

i'm now running a Stage 3 setup. Garrett Powermax Stg 1 turbo, upgraded injectors and spark plugs. Galano ECU & TCU tunes. when dyno'ed, at the wheels it's making 400 hp and 550 Nm.
figures will b higher at the flywheel.

mine being FWD, there is only so much power i can put down through the front wheels, but Galano's Boost-by-Gear trickery does a good most of the time.

Yes yes pre-gpf, but it doesn't feel much faster on pull than JB4, it feels more civilised 😁 if that makes sense

Those are some decent figures i bet it surprises few unsuspecting cars that want to play 🤪

Did you think about going for stronger internals?

What front splitter is it on your? Maxton?

I'd love to go stage 3 might be an idea for next year 😂

haven't contemplated going stronger internals - i think its still within the "max" limits.

fingers crossed.

front splitter is Rieger.

same as the side skirts.

Yep complete sense. Plug-in boxes can only tweak so much whereas a more comprehensive setup makes everything work together better I think and much more driveable makes for a much better experience and less strain on ancillary parts.

Mine is Gen4, of which the major difference is bigger turbo. On an unproven 430bhp at present on Stage 1+ but it was impressive how effective the uprated IC and pipework was (WT IC and their pipes/hoses from turbo-to-IC-to-throttle body) - despite a smaller pub-stat gain, it was much more noticeable throughout the driveability of the car.

My dilemma with GPF - replace with a fast-cell downpipe and GPF removal (and hope Mr MOT man doesn't spot) or APR have come up with a Stage 3 which keeps standard downpipe. Emissions/legality stays in check for certain states in USA and UK obvs. Also keeps sound to standard which is fine with the family car for now. It wont realise the full potential of the setup given the standard downpipe but the guys at the Phirm mooted it as an option too.

Those are nice figures from stage 1+ 😎

Yes the JB4 has been faithful companion of my superb since 2021 and not a single fault with it. Its just like you say you can only get so much out of it. Luckily there is no MOT where i live for now 😁 but still i wanted to keep my downpipe road legal 😑

I love the look of your car with all the add ons makes it look quite mean 😎
