Hello.

Ok so not sure if anyone has had this issue but for a while around 1500rpm I get a hesitation which I need to either give it some throttle or change down to clear it. But it never happens in first gear and can occur in any gear.

The last few days I've noticed black smoke when this happens too now.

The dpf has been gutted and egr have been mapped out.

I can't hear any whoosing to point a finger at an intake leak (split boost pipe etc).

I have considered the DMF to be one culprit for the jerkiness as it's rattling a bit but am now at a loss now it's started smoking.

Any ideas?

Is it a Fabia not your Superb? Is it a 1.6 TDI CR?

It's a 2014 2.0 cr TDI 140bhp Superb. The egr was replaced last year.

A Mod can move your thread then. I will flag it for you.

Do you mean change of hash tag?

I mean that your post in the Fabia section can be moved to the Superb section, and it has been.

That's odd then as at the top it shows Skoda superb.

Ok well thanks for that. 👍

If its black smoke its normally lack of air or too much diesel/bad injector/bad injector pattern. When was the airfilter changed last plus it might be worth getting it scanned with vcds in case there's a random fault code stored. You could try changing air filter and run some injector cleaner plus a tank of supreme diesel through it to see if it improves.
