Coding the mode select option on Octavia MK4 pre-facelift

Featured Replies

Is there an option to code the mode select option to pre-FL Octavia MK4 with 1.5 TSI engine? There isn't a button, obviously, since the equipment wasn't selected at purchase. However, AFAIK, you can select and customize the driving mode through the infotainment as well.

Also, does the mode selection actually bring any noticeable effect on the engine responsiveness and steering feel?

Thanks!

Drive select Mode is prodect with Software. Only buy this function

This means I'd need to visit dealer or other ODIS technician to ask for SwAP activation?
Also is there a real noticeable difference using the mode selection?

You can feel the difference between normal and sport mode, mainly through the steering IMO. I usually use sport mode if I'm carrying passengers front and back and I'm out on a run, just makes the steering feel more weighted and secure. Haven't bothered with ECO or tried to customise my own

Don’t know about your particular model but in general on a modern RS different modes will affect gearbox and throttle tuning, steering weight and chassis damping if you have DCC. Beyond that it also effects ACC, matrix LEDs and ability to coast when in ECO mode

Do you know if it can be retrofitted?
