Eibach springs on fabia vrs

Featured Replies

sorry all, new here so will make it quick.

shall I bother or not?

car is much faster than I expected, but I feel I am fighting the weight a bit.

Need a bit less body roll and perhaps some more front end grip.

Thought I would start with eibachs.

any more suggestions?

I'd start with the Jabba rear anti-roll bar and see how it feels with one fitted. It really works!

I'd go with Eibachs as they reduce the pitch and dive under acceleration and braking. The car will feel much more planted with these on and the brakes we'll feel a lot more effective.

Or how about the Koni FSD dampers with standard springs?

Jabba ARB will significantly reduce any remaining body roll after doing the suspension :D

have never been keen on cheap aftermarket dampers, as I always find they are pitched at the wrong compromise level.

Sounds like a vote for the springs though.

Stay away from eibach fabia dampers then (sorry sachs) Ride is aweful over bumpy roads (ok the roads I go on are not the best) Eibach springs never made that much difference between to the ride between sachs dampers/std springs and sachs dampers/eibach springs.

With sachs dampers and eibach springs the pitch under braking is reduced slightlt but still very noticable as is body roll. If you want to get rid of this then maybe best looking down the coilover route.

If I was to start again ;) I'd opt for Jabba rear ARB first to help reduce the body roll. Then maybe koni FSD or Sport dampers matched with std springs.

have decided to go for just the eibachs and see how that feels.

If not happy, will then consider the rear arb.

How much thicker is it than the standard arb?

there is no roll bar on the rear , thats why its makes such a big difference when its fitted

about 23mm:D

No problems with the ride post-fitting Eibachs, and the rear ARB is definitely a transformer too :)
