Warning light for non-functioning light bulbs

Featured Replies

In my Skoda Superb I recently had the warning light come on on the dash to warn me that I had some non-functioning light bulbs. All of the faulty bulbs have been replaced including both headlight bulbs. The warning light is still illuminated telling me that my left hand main beam is still faulty. Both headlights function as normal in both low and high beam.

How can I get the warning light to extinguish? (all bulbs seem to be functioning correctly)

Welcome to the forum.

Check that the lamps are the correct, matching wattage and double-check that all contacts for the lamp still indicating a fault are absolutely clean.

To clarify, lamp monitoring systems normally use fairly tight current parameters - even a slightly increased resistance in the circuit may cause the monitoring system to flag a lamp failure - even though the affected lamp appears to be operating correctly.
