Hi,

I took my 2018 Karoq for it's annual service and MOT at a dealership last week. It passed the MOT but they have recommended the following remedial work:

• Engine coolant pump is leaking and needs replacing - £753 (including parts, labour, VAT)

• Brake fluid change ~ £100 (including parts, labour, VAT)

• Spark plug change ~ £175 (including parts, labour, VAT)

Can anyone recommend a non-dealership garage that could do this work (hopefully for less!)

Spark Plugs on these engines are not cheap - expect to pay around £20 + VAT per spark plug, if there are coil pack extensions fitted these are sometime difficult to remove which will add to the cost around £15 + vat each. Brake fluid change price is perhaps on the high side. Engine coolant pump replacement - I'd ask for a breakdown of parts and labour cost, and if there are any drive belts that might need replacing while they are doing the work.

Not sure how far you want to travel but Kent Automotive are Maidstone are highly recommended.
