2017 Yeti value ?

Featured Replies

Good evening all.

Looking for some guidance on the potential value of our LHD Skoda Yeti.

Having purchased the Yeti brand new in France in Jan 2017 we have since returned to the UK where it essentially sits on the drive unused.

It is the 1.4 Tsi 150 4x4 in Edition spec sitting on 54k miles.

The car has wanted for nothing, its original alloys unmarked as the car ran on steel winters and has never missed a service.

The bodywork is mint and the interior has had seat covers fitted from new.

Of course the Yeti is UK registered flew through a clean MOT as part of the GB conversion/IVA process.

We cannot find anything in LHD that could guide us on a potential selling price, if we do indeed sell.

Any feeling amongst current owners where we should pitch it ?

Many thanks in advance

Unless someone is looking for a LHD car to take to EU, I wound think the value would be half what you could get for it here in UK.

Advertise it in France? North area, Breast, Roscoff, Quimper.

If someone is Hot for it there, offer to pay their cost to return it to France. Or you deliver it and fly back.

Obviously the deal has got to involve a deposit to cover costs before you go.

Or....

You could of course try Autotrader UK put it in at £11K & see if you get any offers????? But I think that maybe optimistic

Join here as a freedom or freedom lite and sell it through the forum market place.

Don’t try to do it without paying though, that’s when the mod warnings stick gets brought out 😜

Some of our family members have lived in France for over 20 years now and always use this place for buying/selling their LHD cars, might be worth giving them a ring as they might be interested in your car https://www.lhdplace.co.uk/

Yes i saw the option to become a paying member. If the wife agrees to let it go we'd absolutely to that. Thank ypu for your reply 👍

This was the very dis ussion we were having that i could just offer to drive it over and fly back. Not that expensive.

We agreed that if we only reveived a silly offer we'd keep it as it only costs insurance and MOT for the odd run about but ideally tryand move it on for sensible money.

Biggest problem I can see is now the UK's out of the EU the import duty costs for someone in the EU buying it could be off putting.
Perhaps a Brit might be better who makes regular trips to France/ Spain/ EU?

Seeing as you bought it in France you may find that you can reimport it into France without having to pay additional duty.

Yeah that should be no issue and as the original 1st reg malus tax was paid that should be ok.
