FL Kodiaq RS - Heated steering wheel help

Featured Replies

Seeking any facelift Kodiaq owners out there with the heated steering wheel option, I’d dearly love to know your clock spring (squib) part number.

I’m retrofitting an heated wheel and can’t seem to find the right part.

My car: 2023 Kodiaq RS

Clockspring:

5Q1 953 569 J HW014 SW0190

Options:

ACC

Travel Assist

Lane Assist

Front Assist

I have tested the following clockspring parts unsuccessfully

5Q1 953 569 K

5Q1 953 569 L

I get an open airbag circuit error and ACC and Travel Assist errors.

Challenge is compounded by the fact that in MQB Evo cars you can no longer copy and paste clockspring coding in module 16 to adjust for options.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

The pin assignment is different for vehicles with heated steering wheels. Has it been changed?

Thank you, yes. I have used the appropriate Kufatec loom with adapter.

There appears to be a wiring difference for the airbag circuit across the clock spring revisions J to K and L. I may also need to update the indicator stalk assembly 5Q1 953 521 LB to the LC revision. I will also be testing that.

Ideally I would love to hear from someone with a Similar Kodiaq 2023> with heated wheel to know what they have instead of experimenting with the parts catalogue 😩.

Sadly in this Australian market Kodiaqs did not appear to have the heated wheel option. Karoq's did and I have been looking into that.

Kufatec? Utter garbage, often has wiring errors.
