Depends what you wanna do. Cheap elm reader from china stores etc with free app to phone will give you basic info for temps, sensors etc and basic fault code reading/erasing.

Obd eleven is handy if you wanna see more and use bt and phone.

OBD11 here. Yes, you need to "buy credits" for more in-depth features, but it is rather good and easy to use. BT to your phone and away you go.

I've used a Carista reader for years, its been pretty good and definitely saved a few £££.

I pay for the subscription version and would say I get good value out of it each year and will continue with it.
