Depends what you wanna do. Cheap elm reader from china stores etc with free app to phone will give you basic info for temps, sensors etc and basic fault code reading/erasing.

Obd eleven is handy if you wanna see more and use bt and phone.

OBD11 here. Yes, you need to "buy credits" for more in-depth features, but it is rather good and easy to use. BT to your phone and away you go.

I've used a Carista reader for years, its been pretty good and definitely saved a few £££.

I pay for the subscription version and would say I get good value out of it each year and will continue with it.

Hi everyone, I haven't posted on Briskoda meaningfully in a long time. I used to be very active in the Superb sub-forums over the ~15 years I've had Škodas. I've read with interest the many MPG threads on here over those years, and always wondered about my own cars, too. So, I decided to actually put the matter to bed. In my previous Superb (2.0 TSI 220ps DSG) I felt 99 RON gave a power and MPG edge over 95 RON fuel. The BMW X2 20i xDrive that followed it, definitely so! When it came to my 202

Superb L&K - May, 2026 After driving in the rain and using the wipers for a while, I’ve noticed two strange things: Once the rain stops and the wipers stop running, a hazy/milky-looking area appears along the lower part of the windshield (on the outside). It looks almost like fog, but it’s definitely on the exterior. If I run the wipers again, it disappears, but after they stop, it gradually comes back, then fades away on its own after a few minutes. Hello everyone, I would like to give feedback to this topic: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/534598-overheating-problem-skoda-superb-year-2018/ Brothers from the Skoda Superb Facebook group in Turkey solved my problem. The problem was the lower bumper grille shutters. They were stuck. I removed the shutters, and now the coolant temperature no longer rises above 90°C under normal driving conditions. It reaches a maximum of 100°C when I drive at 230 km/h with an outside temperature of 26°C.

I'd been out for a drive with my partner today, coming back home on a country road, when I suddenly realised I was having a loss of power and, when I looked at the instruments, I saw that EPC was illuminated. I found somewhere to stop and looked in the manual and realised that it had gone into Limp Home mode, but after switching off and on again, the fault light cleared and I was able to drive the 25 or so miles home (carefully!) without problems.
