I know the dvlc mucked it up some years ago as there were (think) two cars running about on the same plate......... turned out this one was correct the other not (how does a computer guff up that badly?)

anyway now the car no longer shows

HOW ODD

the old 1989 Estelle shows still :) not the 1999 Felicia !

Odd indeed! Mine's unlicensed apparently :)

Well on the RAC one it says that my vRS is Ambient TDI  cant get it much more wrong can you

Just checked and my 1st & 2nd cars have both gone up to that great race track in the sky. :orb_angel Aaaahhhh they had a good innings.

Cheers

I just typed an "06" plate occy in and all it could tell me was it was blue.......could be wrong but there is alot of blue cars out there ;)

Says my golf is unlicensed which is true as the tax disc says 99 on it lol

How can you tell they have gone? My beloved 1st car is showing as unlicensed does that mean it has gone?

my mums old hillman avenger 1976 is still showing :) but white now and not the orange blossom it was........... well orange in fact but twaz the 70's. and does not mention its no longer an estate, last i saw of it in the mid 80's it was a pick up !!

still does not explain why the 99 felicia outside has 'vanished'........ perhaps coz the dvlc wiped it out as they never got told it was exported ?? but then the french never got told it was imported ..........so bumms.

Both the cars i was talking about were showing as being unlicensed for periods of around 5 years or more....... I think if a car has been SORNed then it shows as SORN when you do the check. Unlicensed, i believe, means the car is no more............ Or so i believe.

Cheers

Dave.

thats odd, i checked my old blue fabia and it said it had 2 owners.... we were the 2nd owners and the car has now been sold to someone else and it still says 2 owners?! eh:confused:

  • Author

3rd wont show until they sell it..... 'previous owners'

  • Author

my 1989 mini shows 6 owners between 89-2004!!!!!!!!!!!!! geeeze i sold it in 1992.

but the dvlc search says it does not exisit

bit crap really then, not so up to date

My Fabby is correct on both sites, But the DVLA think my mums Saxo doesn't exist  ...... It was outside last time i checked. Luckily the RAC know what it is

Unlicensed' date=' i believe, means the car is no more............ Or so i believe.

Unlicensed means it isn't taxed. ;)

"Percy" hasn't been licensed for nearly 3 years so guess he has gone.
