hello

I am new to the forum.

I have recently bought a 2002 ocatavia RS 1.8.

No problems in the first few days.

now, it is making a rattling noise (as if some screws are loose ...and something is about to fall off)coming from left rear side. Also a funny but different noise when I accelerate above 80mph...

any ideas what the problem may be?

thanks in advance

praks

Hello and welcombe to the site.

Maybe the car is making weird noises in retaliation to you going above the 70mph national speed limit.. it would probably be a good idea to try and curb your speed a bit until you pin-point the problem.. just in case the rear wheel decides to distance itself from the rest of the car.

I think thats a little over dramatic - given the total lack of history of rear windows coming out on octavias ;)

Rest your thumb on the hand brake button and see if it goes away ;)

I took it to the local garage and they spotted the problem to the stabilisers attached to the rear seat.there are few missing screws and I have contacted the dealer about the same.thanks guys
