My felicia has no handbrake , so i ve change the cables , now the handbrake still free nothing happened , all job is mine DIY , many mistakes? can someone help me please ,

so now lever down and tight the nuts until first touch. If you pull the lever self adjuster should sink down deeper and deeper.

Shoes should expand. Its greased dont expect much braking.

i use what utube says! maybe i have to go at the service garage , i m afraid that they are not good thats why i did it on my own , just money ! what is the correct?

but now the cables are not too long i need more 3-4 cm if the 2nd picture is the correct

1. handbrake lever maximum down, put the nuts on the thread

2. self adjusters up with screwdriver

3. put the drums on

4. pull handbrake lever and tight the nuts more

5. if lever is max down cable must be a little lose

Are both cables are too short now and you cannot catch nuts on the thread even if hanbrake is maximum down in zero positon?

If cables seems too short now you need to push back self adjusters up with pliers or screwdriver. It will relase more cable to the cabin and you be able to put nuts on the thread.|You dont need to remove drums. You can do it with screwdriver through the lug bolt hole but it is tricki for the first time.

It is simple but needs some time for the very first time. Drums should be prohibited in passenger cars. It is bunch of problems. Especially grease leak and simmering quality.
