Skoda Octavia Locking issue

Featured Replies

Skoda Octavia Mk3 -2014 1.6 Diesel greenline. Yesterday I was trying to test the internal alarm deactivation button on the drivers B pillar. I ended up pressing it a few times. Since then the car will not lock unless it's been driven. Once the car has been unlocked, trying to lock it again results in it trying to lock but unsuccessfully. It makes the noise that it would if you tried to lock it when a door was open and the doors can still be opened from the outside.

After driving the car, it can be successfully locked. But if unlocked, it cannot be locked again until driven.

The light on the internal alarm deactivation button remains illuminated whenever the car is turned off.

Does it lock normally with the internal central locking button?

Play around with the locking settings, ie: all doors locked or just the drivers door, unset and reset the auto locking function. It may clear the fault.
