Hey all

Have a 2021 mk4 octavia vrs and i am not far from needing front pads and discs changed

Been quoted £750 by a trustworthy indie garage and on akoda website it goes for about £800

Just checking how much it has cost other people to get both front pads and discs changed at a garage?

What makes you think the discs need replacing?

Why take it to a garage ! Do it your self

It will depend if you go original skoda parts or aftermarket. Did my mk2 octavia for around £70 in parts using apec discs and pads. Its not a VRS so factor a bit more for larger discs. You could put your reg in https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/ and see what price decent disks and pads are. Cant see it taking more than an hour or two labour to change them.

Don't you have to tell the car that they've been replaced? Also you need to know what you're doing for a start.

I wouldn't have a clue what to do, so leave things alone! If you aren't trained to do it or know what you're doing leave it alone, otherwise you could either kill yourself or someone else as it's brakes or give yourself a bigger bill.
