Hi everyone,

I have Octavia mk3.5, 2017 facelift 2L TDI 150HP 4x4 CRMB engine witch is a bullet proof engine, and I'm thinking to trade it in with 2026 2L TDI 115HP, just need an advice is it a good move? or just keep mine which is not giving me any troubles.

If you can live with your facelift car front end looks (I could not, which is why I bought late pre-FL 2016 ), then I'd keep what you already have for another 3+ years and just service it as and when needed. New one has smaller fuel tank, more software issues, drab interior, less powerful engine and worse suspension. It does look better than the Mk3 FL, just my opinion. What's the mileage on yours?

Finding the more modern the more electronic problems and dealer only fixes. I would stick with the one you have although 220k is fairly high. I suppose it depends what you would get for it if selling?

I agree, if it's mechanically good and the bodywork is in good shape, unless you're in competition with the neighbours to have the newest cars (some are !!), I'd be keeping it.

Look after what you have and it'll serve you well.

......or if you just fancy a change, fair enough although you might miss the BHP ?

Thanks everyone. I will keep it, but the change will come at some point. My only fear is that now I can get some money for it, but after a while, I doubt that I would be able to, and will have to fork out the full new car price. This is my point of change.
