Hi all, owned my 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi for a few months now and it's killing me on fuel, only averageing 35 to the gallon... is this right??? Thanks

Mis spelling

Was looking at a newer fabia for my son and read real world mpg figures are 45-55 on long smooth runs but 35-40 if journeys are short and lots of stop start city/heavy traffic

Welcome. It is a MK3 Fabia. Averaging 35 mpg is maybe alright depending where driven and how. If mostly short drives around town then does it ever get to 40 mpg plus? On runs at UK nsl,s does it ever show 50 mpg and plus? Has it a nice fresh clean air filter and spark plugs that were replaced sometime in the past 4 years, and are the tyre pressures ok?
