Nothing stolen, and there were loads of CDs in the glove box etc. Some chips on the door, and a couple of bits of exterior & interior plastic are scratched. Guess someone did it for fun!?!? Only had the car 3 months - from new. I was spitting teeth!

Its really frustrating that these things go on. Do you normally park there, maybe someone who does took offence and broke your window.

Do you know if the alarm triggered? Strange they didn't take anything - wonder if they were disturbed?

Sounds like someone was jealous of your car. There's very few things that make me as mad as when someone damages cars like this (had it happen to my old car). If I was to catch someone at it (whether my car or someone else's) I'd do them some serious damage...

Sorry to hear this. I dont have enough words to describe scumbags who do this sort of thing.

Every car I've owned (except the current golf) has either been broken into or stolen.. and I've only ever seen the police once despite reporting every incident.

Living in rural Wiltshire - the police were really good - and wanted to get the CSI involved to look for evidence etc. But it was a just a wreckless vandalism so I'd cleaned it up by the time they showed. Getting it fixed on thurs. Bummer is that the paint on the door is chipped - and the door handle & plastic trim around the elec windows. I'll see how it looks after a polish. Anyone recommend a mobile chip repairer in the South West area?

maybe they didnt like your cd's:) seriously though i know how you feel i had a fully modified seat arosa before this fabia and it was always getting vandalised that was 1 of the main reasons i got rid of it! its just jelous *******s:thumbdwn:

Have you checked to make sure you still have a tax disc and service history /handbook if left in the car? These items seem to have replaced the radio as the items of choice round here.

I'm told that the lowlifes will just brick your car to see if you've got a TomTom in the glovebox, as quite a few new cars come with one.

As far as they're concerned, it's their next fix......

Go onto Yell.com and look for ChipsAway, I have had them to my car 2x now to sort out scratches, cannot rate my local guy highly enough.

Definately nothing been taken, I really think it was done as a "you have a shiny new car" - I'm jealous, I'm going to smash it.

Thing is, I was loaded, I prob would be driving an Audi not a Fabia, and it would be in a garage!

I bought the car to save on fuel & garage bills - but it's still lots of money for me - and was a really big decision to make.

In some ways if they had taken my CDs - at least the damage would of been for a purpose.

Odd though that sounds.

Last car was a VW Polo and local tw@ts fancied smashing rear windows of about 10 red cars in the area - unfortunatly mine fell into that catagory. Woke up by the neighbour hoovering his car and thought what a idiot, I have to be at work in an hour and went back to sleep. Woke back up, and went out to the car to go to work, opened the door and noticed there was glass everywhere. Then I realised that it was mine too. :( Again, nothing taken which is even more frustrating. And when the police came they said they had caught the two lads who had done it and would charge them and make them pay for the damage. Yeah right. Slap on the wrist for both of them. One of them now has an ASBO and isnt allowed to come into the area but again the police arnt bothered.

Funnily enough a police car had its window put through and within 2 minutes there were ten cop cars looking for the prats that did it. The word "Vigalante" sounds more enticing day by day.

Sorry to hear about your car being smashed by little scum bags who should be all rounded up and made to dig thier own graves and then burried alive.......

Sorry all I hate scum bags like them, and wether it is my stuff or anothers, it really riles me up. As I go out, work hard pay my taxes and all the usuall stuff a decent person does, and then these turds come along and do these things to people, either for drugs as before mentioned, or in this case because they feel that the world and people who have done well in thier lives and got nice things owes them..... go figure!! When they should get off thier backsides and get a job and maybe one day if they work hard they could have nice things..... ahhhhhh!!!!

I gonna stop thier because I could rant on about the things I hate about certain types of people for days and days.... shame I have to accept thier exsistance :( also I can not say what I would prefer to do to these people, because the top thing is very mercifle of me...

In conclusion I really hate 'SCUMBAGS'

I'd hate it to happen to anyone, too, but try and keep it in context; there are worse things happening in the world :(

If it was the factory fitted alarm watch you dont press the set button twice as is will turn OFF the interior sensors ! Does the factory fitted alarm warn you if the alarm has gone off or if the window is still smashed will it keep sounding/flashing lights etc ?

I agree there, the Police have helped me out so they are cool, but the Justice system though not as bad as other countries, is still a backwards joke!!!

As with keep it in context, as I said I could spend days putting the world to rights, saddly my methods would be unpleasant but very effective..... suppose you could call a 'Physco Dictator' wannabe....
