Following on from yesterdays adventures in 'on-motorway-rapid-tyre-deflation'.. and after reading loads of old posts (thanks to the trusty search feature), I've managed to get 4 Pirelli P Zero Neros in 225/45/R17 Y, fully fitted and balanced for

i dont see why there should be an issue,plenty of other cars just use space savers as a spare so yours is a lot closer to the proper size than one of those are:D

No problem with having a smaller tyre as spare, as long as you treat it as a spare.

BTW, seeing you are from Bucks, did you get the tyres from Merityre in Thame? Cos piv34uk does Briskoda members a good deal if you ask him (although he is on hols now). I bet you could have had them even cheaper...

£442 for 4 is a good price....especially for Neros....would have been good for Rossos even.

I got Rossos, 225/45/17, from Micheldever a couple of years back for £116 a corner/fitted.

As long as the spare has the same rolling circumferences there should be no problem.

No specific issue as long as they're all radials. I'd recommend not using maximum acceleration or baking (except in an emergency) and keeping the pace down a bit from what the car can do on corners though.
