Key Fob on eBay

Featured Replies

Just thought i'd let you know:

When I bought my car i only got 1 key with it. So I spoke Skoda, who wanted

you need the "PIN code" to program the immobiliser transponder to the system with specialist equipment, to be able to start the car with it. The remote locking fob can be programmed simply yourself though as you say.

I bet it doesn't start the car.

there are certainly loads of keys available on ebay as a good source of cheap spares, the VW 2-button ones are fine, compare the part number which is etched on the fob, pull the blade end away from the fob to access the number.

But you do need to get the immo transponder programmed using suitable equipment and "PIN Code", and make sure you have all the keys to hand when you do this, as all keys need to be programmed back in at the same time, even the one(s) that are already in there.

I've been thinking of changing from the standard rigid key (hella 730 955-00 433MHz 5FA 007 680) to a flip key. I believe the 2000 Octavia’s have the immobiliser II. does anyone know which 2 button flip key part numbers would work?

I did come across the (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1216091) but I've been unable to find the part number it refers to

Cheers

HLO-1JO-959-753-AG is the 2-button 434Mhz fob I used on my 02 vRS (this may be the later system to yours though I guess?)

Some of the 3 button fobs will work too, depending on your convenience module.

HLO-1JO-959-753-AH is the three-button one that works on mine also, including boot unlock.
