Windows Lifters/lower-er's

Featured Replies

I know that you can lift the 2 front windows and lower the 2 front windows by using the key in the lock on the drivers door and holding it left or right, but is there a way of doing this with the remote?

I've tried holding down the unlock or lock button but it doesn't work.

any ideas?

I'm sure the system is capable of such a thing, why don't they enable it?

I have heard that this can be done on the new golf's?

It cant be done on a Fabia without some kind of controller being fitted. alientech? Do one for the Octavia 1 but its not compatable with the Fabia. When we asked sometime ago they wouldnt do one for the Fabia.

it seems likes something that is overlooked by car manufacturers. something so simple and affective but yet they don't bother.

The system is capable as you trigger it with the key in the door so why can't it be programmed using a key press on the remote?

Surely only at the expense of one programmer writing code or something that can be put into millions of car's?

Another example was on my old clio. the driver had a one touch system from leccy windows but not on passenger. surely it would cost nothing to have added this feature?

Maybe they are out of touch with what people want? or is it just what the minority want?

ramble, mutter, zzzzzzzz

My brothers S3 had this feature and so does his A2...

On my '03 CTR it only has the auto window on the drivers side and for down only!

Its the little things like auto windows that make a big difference to a car imo!

New octy now has it

Ford have been fitting this for ages - very useful it is in this heat too  The other way of doing it may be to fit an aftermarket alarm, eg Clifford which I think may let you do this....

Not a big deal really, as Chris said is usefull in warm weather we are having, just don't get why manufacturers leave all the useful functions out of cars when most cost next to nothing to add

Cos then they'd have nothing extra to give the people who buy the better cars in the range!!

And things like that do cost money, in order for it to work it needs an additional controller and wiring, the alientech kits aren't free!

Same with my MR2, what is the point in having just one auto button?

Suprising how annoying it can be tbh.
