insurance and re-mapping

Featured Replies

im sure ive asked this before but anyway, ive got to get insurance and was wondering if beoming a member if that chris knott was any good? also would it be worth declaring engine mods as im really tempted to get my vrs re-mapped. heard tuning boxes might be worth a go instead. if so what is the increases to a fab vrs?

cheers in advance

You need to make sure you tell your insurance company about every little mod you make really. Somethings like changing the side repeaters would be fine, but anything engine wise you need to tell them about. Lowering as well. At least if you tell them and make them aware of it, they can't get out of a claim due to non-disclosure of modifications.

With regards to Chris Knott, I have no idea I'm afraid.

Some insurers will let you off certain things, some won't.

My brace and tuning box are declared and both free

Don't know about the rest but declare everything as they can refuse a claim just because you didn't even if it is unrelated.
