Indicator Problems?

Featured Replies

When using my indicators, after I have turned and the indicators have stopped flashing, the audible click, continues for about another 2 to 4 clicks. There is no indication on the dashboard that the lights are flashing.

Is it the case that the switch, say for the indicator stem, on the steering column could be faulty or is it something else?

There does not appear to be any other faults on the car.

Many thanks

My first port of call would be the relay under the hazard switch.

If the clicks start to get a bit randomm then i would definately blame this.

Yes you would have to agree , hazzard switch

Get the uprated one and you should be fine.

Easy to do too.

About £25.00 ish + VAT

About

The uprated one makes a different clicking noise.

When mine was replaced under warrenty, they said that that the part fitted was a new one after i asked was it the right part as it sounded odd.

I may be wrong but you may find the old part has been dropped and that there is only one part now. Sarah or somebody else should be able to shed more light though.

I cleaned all the contacts on my relay that was giving problems, I think 2 years ago, and it has worked perfectly since.

How? electrical contact cleaner? wire brush?

It will go eventually

It may be now that you can only get the uprated one.

It is the one for towing

Still only about £25.00 + VAT

They are so common to go may as well bite the bullet and get new.

I wouldnt even put the effort in to clean them up as they are so cheep.
