Will the newer model have body coloured door handles and sides. If not, what is the estimated cost of having these mods !!

I want my vRS to look like this:

The 2007 model (built from the last week in may) which is what you'll get on a 56 plate has colour coded door handles but not rubbing strips.

Does the car come with a CD player that can play mp3 format. I have read the news thread regarding the updates to the 2007 model but it seem to be Octavia specific!!!

iirc its an optional extra on the Fabia, for mp3 playing, certainly haven't seen any aux socket in my 07 and stereo & changer are same as old model. hth

Im not refering to an Aux socket and talking about a cd player that plays cd burnt in mp3 format. So I can burn about 150 songs per disk!!! Thats what I have on my Polo!!

Get a black one then there colour coded

Yeah!!! I know but I hate black cars after owning 2.

They get dirty within seconds very very quickly,which gets on my nerves.

With a Silver car you just don't notice the dirt that much, easier to keep clean and they look nice too. So Silver FTW ...

why dont you ask a/your dealer, or email skoda direct, surely they would give you an exact answer

Im my experience dealers are very ill informed about the vehicles they sell. Generally salemen are not enthusiasts. There knowledge is often limited at best. If you want to find out facts, speak to people on a forum. That way you get straight, honest answers. Hence why I'm asking here

Silver is a bitch to keep clean IMO. Mine is dirty every other day, no joke. That's one thing I won't miss when it comes to selling my beast.

Thats strange HellFire because in my experience Silver has been brilliant. I will never again buy a black car. They look nice but they are just an absolute nightmare to keep clean.

Are there problems with the silver paint peeling off of the rubber?

Had plenty of black cars before which is why I had to have silver and it was the best choice I made when buying the Vrs.

On speaking to the saleman at the dealership, he has advised me not to count on the car having body coloured door handles. Just out of interest, what was the charge for having the handles and door strip colour coded Shadewell?

I may get him to do it before I actually pick the car up!!!

All vRS' built after the last week in may have colour coded door handles. Mines does.

Ok well thats good news, it means I only have the side strips to colour code. I can't imagine that costing much more than

Sorry mate was part of the deal to buy the car. I personally think the door handles look much classier colour coded and really set the car of nicely.

Any bodyshop should be able to do this Scottfree for a small charge.

P.S That car looks too close to mine for comfort. Was the photo taken in Yorkshire?:eek:

Forget that last comment it has'nt got a sunroof. Phew.

My 2007 model is sitting in the dealer's with colour coded handles, but another one delivered after mine has not got them colour coded:confused:

I'm not fussed as long as I get the right one.

Renny, his car was probably built pre May. If you have a car built after may then you get the bodycoloured handles..

I hope mine are body coloured, it means all I have to do is get the side strips colour coded!!

Also on the 2007 model the 'fourth wipe' (after about 10 secs) when you wash the windscreen has been switched off..... my dealer is turning it back on for me.
