Arb

Featured Replies

Undoubtedly the Jabba ARB makes a huge difference to the handling of a VRS. :D The question that bugs me is why didnt Skoda do something similar and make the standard car so much better; its hardly a major modification now is it !

Any thoughts ...

Cost!

There's loads of relatively cheap mods that we do to our cars, but add up the cost of a few, car goes up by 500 quid (or more), suddenly it's not so good value against a Peugeot or whatever.

I agree with you, the difference is well worth the money. Maybe it should be a factory option.

Agreed.

Excellent mod by the sounds of it. Not sure how much of my car is OEM anymore...

I'm guessing it's because they want to set their cars to understeer "safely"? Does the new Octy have a rear ARB? :D

Chris

Reckon this will be the first mod I do to mine, as it shouldn't affect the warranty in anyway... does it really make the car that much better? I'm quite impressed with it now! And how much more twitchy does it make it? I'd rather have safe understeer than snap oversteer!!!

Fitting an aftermarket ARB will invalidate the warrenty on the whole rear suspension. Unless you dealer will turn a blind eye to it... ;)

Yup, independant rear suspension you see.

Why would it invalidate it? All you have to do to fit it is undo the bolts on the shocks don't you? Thats the only thing that you actually have to move thats standard fitment isn't it? So how can it invalidate the whole lot?

Because Skoda say so and its their warrenty. ;)

find an understanding dealer :)
