Furby Issues

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have had my Furby for the last 11 Months and have noticed one or two niggly things.

1. The recent Xmas weather has been very cold and the H7U front headlamp bulbs had blown left first then right, there has been a little mist/condesation inside the lamp, first time I have seen this...

2. The H3 Spot lamp at the front has blow a few times left and right and replaced aswell.

3. When Closing the boot I heard a kinda breaking noise and was to later find out the rear washer was no longer working.

Are these common problems, as it is still in warranty, I will be going back in about 2500 miles for my 20,000 Service.

Has anyone had these issues.

Cheers

Robbie :slant:

Thats how it started with mine maybe a seal issue

Not had the head light issues yet.... But the rear washer can be one of two things. Firstly check the connection where the pipe work goes through the bulkhead in the engine bay. Its on the right hand side about half way down. The other connector which comes off is actually on the back of the wiper motor assembly. You know when this one has come lose if you run it for a few mins and then open the boot and see if you have fluid sitting in your door seal at the bottom. The plastic trim on the boot can be removed but its a git to get back on! :thumb:

Cheers andy

A colleague told me the pipe to his rear washer has come off a couple of times when the liqiud has frozen. Apparently it's quite a common problem.

In the 'olden days' before Fabias were invented :smokin: this was also fairly common on the Octavia.

The headlight condensation sounds like the seal at the back is not seated properly. My octy rear wash broke last winter, it had separated in the hatch area.

Andy how do you remove the trim on the boot to check the rear washer is there any particular screws you remove or do it just unclip.

was looking at it but dont want to take the chance in possibly breaking the plastic

thanks
