After waiting about a decade for my car to be fixed and hoping to collect it today....

The repairers did a full geometry check and....

The rear axle needs replacing!

Somehow the post title gave it away that this would be bad news :-(

Sorry to hear it Jono.

Oops.sorry to hear it...

But at least you can be reasonably sure they're doing a decent job, after all, they could have kept quiet.... ;)

As for the time, ask them :)

Oh oh oh Monkey ******! :smirk: Just joking.

As for the time, they reckon a full day to fit, but no idea how long the part wll take. Its coming via local dealership.

No idea if its a UK or Czech sourced part.

sorry to hear that :(

at least it's fixable and maybe you'll be posting YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! next time. ;)

Dealer in Kilmarnock got me worried a few months ago when I had uneven wear on my back tyres, told me the axle might be f***ed, my usual dealer however just repositioned it for free ! :) I don't the the full history of your problem but is it possible they've made a mistake ? Or have you crashed it or something ?

The latter unfortunately.
