torque on wheel bolts

Featured Replies

the AA (under Skoda assistance) replaced one of the tyres of my car. On leaving he said he had tightened the bolts to 110 which didn't mean anything to me - he said not too loose nor too tight.

Now on perusing the car handbook whilst looking how to reset the TPM monitoring system I have found a reference to the prescribed torque being 120Nm.

Do I have anything to be worried about? do I need this to be checked out and tightened up?

Thanks

Shouldn't worry about it, it'll be near enough, probably within the tolerance range of many torque wrenches. Still, if you want to be 100%...

Always wise to re-check after 50 or so miles anyway. 120nm seems to be the VAG standard, has been on all our VAG cars. I just have to remember that its only 60nm when I,m working on the Alfasud.
