Knocking noise

Featured Replies

Keep getting a knocking noise from the f/n/s of my vRs and it is bugging my does anyone have any ideas:confused:

What's f/n/s? Maybe your engine needs tuning.

fns= Front Near Side

Springs or suspension issue. Have a look at the springs for slight cracks maybe.

Otherwise isn't the aircon compressor in about that location?

anti-roll bar link perhaps , iirc the aircon compressor is on the f/o/s or o/s/f

I have now got the knocking noise away it was the anti - roll now I have to find out what the hell this noise is when I take a right hander it sounds like a grinding/rubbing noise it`s not the shafts or bearing last time I put this in the forum somebody said the air-con is this possible:confused:

i wouldn't have thought it was the aircon , as the noise would be there all the time with the aircon on , more likely something rubbing whilst you have it on the lock to turn the corner or possible a wheel bearing concern

Wheel bear checked out and is fine aircon switched off:confused:

Is your car a VRS or otherwise.

If otherwise have you lowered it at all? Sometimes the ARB can cartch on the driveshaft i think on lowered cars.
