steering wheel removal

Featured Replies

Hey all, just trying to fit a turbo timer to my 2002 vrs. Thing is, i cant get the lower part of the column cowling off without removing the steering wheel(how bizzare). But i cant see how to take the wheel off. On my mates focus there were 2 5.5mm bolts holding the air bag on. Then you took the air bag off, and there was a 15mm bolt holding the wheel on. I can see 2 holes in the back of the steering wheel, but cant see any bolts holding the air bag on.

Anyone had there wheel off before, cheers

danny.

There arent any bolts. There are two spring clips in the holes that need to be released then there is an M12 spline bolt holding the wheel on.

This may help...
