Highest mileage Fabia vRS on Ebay

Featured Replies

Think Col's must be around the 70k marker now?

Interior looks in pretty good shape for the mileage.

Car looks mint, and £6k ish would be a very good price.

I think its a bit dear myself... but after £300 on bodywork it will be a decent car for sure.

Does seem a little pricey to me. I was considering a red Nov 03 model that had done 74k on eBay. That finished at 5900.

Still a massive chunk of mileage though, must surely feel a little 'worn' by now - suspension components etc? It's done just under 100 miles for every day of its 2 1/2 year life.

That's why I plumped for a little older Ibiza that had done less miles. For less money.

Colins is over 80k now I think.

Colins still hasnt had a new cambelt either :o

The driver side floor mat has a wear hole the size of a 50p piece where your heal rests.

Ahh, so it's a common thing that the vRS mats aren't very hard wearing then!

Dangermouse . . . where on earth have you pulled that quote from?

Col . . I'd get your belt changed if I were you! Mine's booked in for Tuesday. :)

51k on mine, will try to catch up with Colin :P

It was in the ebay ad

Yep it's an impressive mileage over a short period of time, but 81k miles is really not that much for a diesel. I had a 405 diesel which hit 216,000 before i got rid of it. It was still on pretty much all of its original mechanical components (including clutch, gearbox and suspension components). After 81k miles I'd expect the engine to be nice a smooth and very efficient.

How much is it costing you?

£180 from an independant garage. That's for a Skoda kit (belt, tensioners, water pump) and the labour. Cheapest locally and a reputable garage - a colleague has taken his car there for over 20 yrs.
