No Service Light At 10k ?

Featured Replies

This is a quick one, my car is now just over the 10k miles mark and i have had no service light come on?

The car has covered this distance in just over 6 months. By looking at the forums posts i can see that the car is due a lube every 10k and a lube and inspection every year. Should the warning light come on at 10k if the year isn't yet up to let me know about the lube service? Or does it only come up annually?

I have called the main dealers and they are totally useless. One garage telling me the vrs has a first service at 12k and it would be

I also read about the problem where the service light thinks the distance is going up in km so the light won't come on until 14k miles' date=' can i get this fixed at the dealers if its the problem.

If it was set to km it would come on early, 6200miles = 10000km. ;) You need a lube service at 10k miles. ;)

It's very common for the service indicator not to show up. You should call them and tell them that you want it serviced in accordance with the published service schedule which is in your owners manual.

£200 is over the top too.

Thanks for the info, all sorted now. The light came on today. about 100 miles late but it came on all the same. All booked in for lube on saturday. Still about 100 quid though.

And you are only paying for a stamp in the service book.

i wish my sevice light would stay off

It popped up at 4k

trip to the dealers to have it switched off

and it came back on the next day
