Which Induction Kit ???

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I'm considering buying an induction kit for my 2003 Octavia VRS.

The last time I bought any "performance enhancing" products was back in the day of Ford XR's and RS's etc. From what I remember if you had a K&N and Janspeed fitted then you were modded !!!

I have looked at the Green filter kits, Quikshift kits, K&N 57i, and also the K&N Typhoon thingy (what is the difference between these two ?, other than the Typhoon is approx

hmmmm, I don't know about any for sub

That wouldn't be Pipmsters old one would it, by any chance :D

'twas Pimpster who recommended the ABD one to me in an email earlier this week. How loud is it?

Mind you, compared to the exhaust on my car, probably pretty quiet

Take no notice of the "pistol packer", it's all in his pants! :finger:

I would recommend the Carbonio CAI:D , it has a very destinctive sound (Not to everyones taste its been likend to Darth Vader with a cold) and i am very surprised at how loud the OEM DV is. It definately turns heads:thumbup: downside is that it costs well over a hundred squid:(

I have a Carbonio kit for sale, well will in the next couple of days...

It's actually the Pipercross version and uses a larger filter with carbon-fibre end (compared to a K&N cone which'll clog up in next to no time!).

Drop me a PM if anyone's interested ;)
