I applied for this before I went on holiday and got myself qualified... Looking forward to a day driving round Bruntingthorpe in a RX-8

Which day Q? I'm going on the 13th in the afternoon.

Apparently they did a simialr thing with the MX5. Challenges involve doing a slalom with tennis balls in bowls on the bonnet, drag racing, high speed runs then stopping in the box, reversing challenges etc.

You've go to be 25 or over to take part though so lots of Fabia drivers will be disapointed

For those who've yet to apply, when/if the email comes saying you've qualified, confirm immediatly as a friend decided to tell his missus first and confirm the next day - by the time he'd done that the event was fully booked.

Haven't heard anything back yet :(

I'm going on the 17th. Not without some hassle though as I had applied on the 11th (of August), but didn't get a reply back until the 15th... and I had just left the country that day for my holiday. When I got back I immediately followed the link, but I got told it was booked full already. On the off chance they had some places left elsewhere I dropped them an email and within 2 hours I had secured a spot on the next day at Brunters

If you only just applied, it will take a few days before you know... looks like they are actually manually validating it.

My friend has sneakily managed to get a place despite not being given one due to his delay in applying - he apparently clicked the confirm link in the email then decided to leave it - so it was in his web history. He went offline, pulled up the page, filled in the form, went online and sent it off.

Hey presto one email confirming he has a place - on the 17th - so if they are one car short he's the short guy with glasses and receeding hair line.

Looks like I've failed then. Ho hum.

I read somewhere that you need to be in their target group of potential buyers. I suspect they think "old" men in skoda's dont qualify.
