Hyundai Getz

Featured Replies

I heard that the hyundi keep value well until year 5 is over then like a rock.

However a 5 year cover is very appealing :)

EDIT: As Chris said, if they will cover the cost of problems for 5 years they must know they have done a good job.

In the US it's a 10 year drivetrain warranty

Good luck with your Hyundai! Dealers are the only reason my parents don't want another Skoda, as my Dad works very long hours he hasn't got much time to take the car for Fault Checks on a weekday especially as all the local dealers are closed down and moved to bigger city locations (i.e. further away), the garage wouldn't let us take the car on a Sunday and borrow a Courtesy Car. But its all sorted out now any way so i should stop moaning!

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought my wife a brand new 1.4 Getz a couple of months ago as a runabout and I actually like driving it. Everything's a bit light (steering, brakes) compared to my Octy 2.0 TDI but for a relatively tall car it can hurtle round corners :D

Dealer was a bit rubbish though as it took them 5 weeks to diagnose an electrical fault - we had an alarm fitted as an extra and they didn't fit the master fuse back in properly causing intermittant alarm and clock resets.

The other day I filled it up with petrol then immediately got into my Octy to go fill up. In comparison my bum's scraping the floor in my car and somebody added lead weights to the steering mechanism!
