Featured Replies

Treading very carefully here ;) Has anyone else ever done a search for "Octavia" on a P2P system and found a large file claiming to be remap software from a well known tuner?

Nope :D

HTH ;)

Incidentally, I wasnt asking if it was there...... because I know it is...... just wondered if anyone had downloaded it.

I've not seen it, but then I've not looked.

There is a lot more to it than just uploading the file and it would be risky as you don't know if it is the file that it says it is.

That said I wouldn't be surprised if there were files in the Public Domain. I know REVO use a credit system with the dealers to try and stop this type of thing.

WTF is a credit system?

It'll work, but not do anything until you buy credits from the supplier of the software. You then use this credit to make the program work properly.

Free program, but you have to pay to use it.

Most offline mobile phone unlockers are like this. Free software, but you buy a credit for a fiver for one unlock. If you buy 200 unlocks, or credits, you get em cheaper.

I'm curious now... who's feeling brave/stupid and wants to have a play

Ahh i get what you mean.

More to the point how would you flash it to your car? standard VAG-COM cable?

You'd have to use a cable from www.ecutools or similar. Looks like a VAG-Com cable but uses more connections I believe.
