Two bolts and straight out. Dunno what fabia seat mech is like though, compared to golf.

Easy!!

You are obviously clinically insane.

Actually I have met you , and you look as if you could be clinically insane.

I would seek help if I were you.

But not from me.

Obviously.

have taken Octy back seats out before, to clean... never taken out the front ones tho! Might have a go next time - and hope I get it finished before the men in white coats come to get me :D

Day 2... got couple of days off work still until training begins... have now started to remove interior trim panels to clean them properly.. yup clinically insane!!

Become that much of a tart i've waxed the door hinge area that is never seen.

Engine bay next!!

:o

i bet when you've taken it all out, you cant be bothered to put it all back in again! or wont be able to remember where bits go, or what order you are supposed to fit them in!

Just a thought......I think the bolts that hold the seats in are only supposed to be used once, I might be wrong but it's worth checking!

iirc the seats aren't actually bolted in on the golf. they run on slides on the floor. the bolts (or capscrew and nut) just stops the seat from sliding off the end of the runners....

or i could be totally wrong and getting confused with another car..

Quite correct... bolts in golf just stop it sliding all the way back.

Know for definiate in fabia they need replacing as i have a set ready to go on when she goes back on the road.

Thanks for pointing it out though' date=' will be of use to other members  Its tips like this that make this forum so useful!

Luckly I've learnt my lesson from removing bits from fabia... I now lay everything out and have a vast collection of coin bags for the screws!
