Well I can hardly believe this myself, but thanks to your advice my car now looks like this!!!!!!!

Instead of paying £450 for a new bumper I borrowed a neighbours heat gun and bought a new grille insert. Total cost £3.49 and 10 minutes work.

:thumbup: brilliant! What's it like underneath out of sight? If there's a crack it might be worth sealing it up with some strong adhesive gunk, just in case general driving stresses on the bumper, make it spread a little.

Nice way to save a lot of money though. :cool:

For the spilt i have seen plastic welding done in this situation on various plastic bumpers on rally cars. If its out of sight and not too difficult to get to this may be a good option.
