hi all its that time for some new front tyres could i upgrade to 215/45.17 on standed rims without messing up the speedo up or something else because these are cheaper than the standard tyres:rolleyes:

Yes but go for 225/45/17`s ... the rolling radius is nearly the same as the OE ones

hi thanks for the reply just a quick one will they fit on standard wheels and no prblems on the car ie no rubbing on the arches :confused:

225/45/17 toyo proxes t1-r's and no rubbing yet (std wheels) (on my mates mk1 vrs).

I run 225/45 R17 Toyo Proxes T1-R on the front of my Octy (with standard fit alloys) and there has been no problems at all with rubbing. As has been said before the rolling radius is very similar to the 205/50 R17 tyres fitted as standard and they are certainly cheaper :D
