480+bhp 1.8t ibiza

Featured Replies

new spec motor... new turbo, new equal length tubular manifold, new intake new DP, remapped by Custom Code.

latest plot 485bhp 355lbft

This is step 1 of 3. step 2 is larger single plenum inlet manifold with 75mm throttle body, and step 3 is a pair of special grind catcams. might yet break into the 500 numbers... you never know. (or go bang trying - lol!)

Hope this one lasts, roll on 500 well done Bill.:)

Sounds great bill, heres hoping you can get over 500bhp:thumbup: and as your rolling road plot was on the jbs rolling road does that mean they've finally got it up and running?

It's up and running but not open to the public yet AFAIK so I wouldn't try booking in.

Out of a 1.8T:eek:

What sort of performance figures does that turn out?

dunno. will have to strap some timing gear on one day and look see.

0-max does'nt take very long. run out of gears rapidly.

So I've heard. ;)

Also good to see you're trying a 8.2k limiter, I want a higher limiter and now I have someone testing it out for me!

Impressive Bill.

Wonder what it would go like in a Variant..lol

Surely you have some serious traction issues in an Ibiza ?

Surely you have some serious traction issues in an Ibiza ?

Put your foot down to hard in that and you would end up in traction :)

Really impressive figures, it must be a real hoot to drive

new tyres - wheels only in 2.5 seconds :D

surely thats too much in an ibiza? do you ever get traction whilst on full power?

I'm wondering how many fat blokes it took to hold it down on the rollers.... ala Des at Marlin

nice smooth lines on the power graph as well... might help with the traction seeing as though i doesnt bang all the power in in one big go...

then again thats a mighty steep torque curve so what do i know !

485 bhp  i will have to go to Castle Combe to see that race , whens the next one ?

Seemed to be running ok at Combe Bill?!!

Seemed to be running ok at Combe Bill?!!

yea it was... quali had a pipe blown off me DV (stupid me forgot to clip it) so only P19 in quali. Race all clips were replaced throughout so everything fine..

Something in the heatshielding (factory suff) by bulkhead caught fire andf smoldered which caused smoke inside the cabin as laps passed by during race. Got to P8 from P19 in 6 laps with power as it should be, but then pulled in when the smoke inside worried me.... went back out for last lap dead last, but got my signature for my licence so happy with that,.

got some re-working of some coolant pipes and heatshielding before next race in just over a weeks time.

Mad as a box of Badgers you are mate. Totally insane.

Every credit to you
