What? An E39 M5 from a dealer with an AUC warranty. 400bhp man, need I say more?

Nah, M5's dont float my boat.

If you had
If you had £25k to spend on a car that had to have 4 seats and a boot, what would you buy ?

Must be fun to drive

MPG not an issue

Must not be "ch*v"

No EVO's or Imprezas.

New or nearly new only

Nothing that is out of warranty.

Nothing that has to be modded to make it decent.

No glorified family hatchbacks.

Currently its a one horse race

Mazda RX8 PZ.

Monaro VXR for me without a doubt. If I could afford the insurance (I cant get quoted less than 3.4k so far ) I'd have got rid of the Skoda for one already! Think I'll hold out a few years and get a second hand VXR500 :D

What about one of those 'Datsun' thingies

I have seriously considered the Range Rover actually :D

I think you should go for the PZ. Probably diabolical mpg, and oil consumption to match. But look after it and you'll love it. I really enjoyed a test drive in one, the interior is stunning. Suspension is pretty hard too - but soooo worth it.

TBH I never tried an RX8 when I was looking at the start of this year - stupidly this was just because my brother has one

Having driven a PZ and normal RX8 on saturday I kind of wish I'd just bought on to start with :(

Oil consumption on them is not as bad as non-owners seem to think it is.

Wicked. Its a no-brainer here then. I can't think of a mod you would need to do to a PZ either... :rubchin:

They ran some RX8's in the 24hr Silverstone race recently. Engines were totally standard.

Fabia 2.0?

I would get a fabia vrs then pocket the difference.

Vw Eos.. :)

A 2 year old BMW M3 or stretch to circa £28k for a BMW M3 CSL...

I've got a feeling he is gonna poo poo any M3 for being ****. Being an M5 owner I would agree (a bit) but they are fantastic cars no question. I would say a Holden would fit the bill.

I was expecting any M3 in my price range (stretchable to £28k) to be a little long in the tooth and without warranty? no ?

If I could stretch to the current shape with the chrome blingy wheels and the vents in the front wings I'd be very interested.

However the 4 doors of the Mazda woul dbe handy (but the M3 has a bigger boot)

I sold my 2 year old M3 with 17k miles for £28k, a year gone may, with one year warranty left.

I think the prices have maybe dropped since then too....

M3 is now on the list with the PZ

Dont fancy a Merc and the Skyline is a little too OTT for me.
