:( :( could anyone please give me some idea what is causing my b pillar body creak it is coming from the lower half of the b pillar right ny the bottom hinge on the back door please please help

We had a customer with an Octavia who sold it and bought a L&K from another garage. He told us that that had a mysterious body creak from the B pillar area. After alot of tooing and froing with the dealer it was eventually diagnosed as a spot weld which hadn't taken when the car was made.

Not a common occurence, so you need to rule out the simple things first, like trim creaking and the door hinges chattering.

i have had nearly every trim panel off it is in the body for sure

any indication of which spot weld it was and can anything be done about it

This was sorted out between the customer and the dealer so I do not know any details. I believe that it was in the sill area towards the rear of the car, possibly where three panels join. It was eventually all sorted by a body shop.

Have you tried lubricating the suspect area, if the creak disappears for a while you would have found it.

Mine creeks around the rear door hinges and the door locks. Tried Lubricating but noise is still there.
