Front Lights Crazy

Featured Replies

hi guys ... i have a strange problem .... when turn on my lights they work fine

if i gave a dim only the right light is giving high light .... and the other is normal ... if i switch to the high level light ... the left light is off and the right is high ..... :please:

Thats a weird problem, at first I thought perhaps one of the bulbs had a blown filament. But then I thought wiring.

Is this what is happening

when you turn on your lights (switch position 2) lights they work fine

When you turn on your lights (switch position 1) the left light is dim but the right one is fully on.

and on switch position 2, you pull the indicator switch away from you then the left light goes off but the right goes brighter.

Just needs hyper-earthing! :D;)

Either earth problem or tracking in the loom, I'd guess, but Geoff's the spark!

Vehicle electrics are a black art Howard :D

Digi,

It could be something as stupid as a bad connection, which will be a complete pain in the backside to trace.

I admit i'm not too familiar with the electrics on recent cars, so it could be something more complicated. Earth fault was just the answer that jumped out at me. It could equally be a faulty relay or something.

Just check for any obvious loose connections, if nothing jumps out at you, then you might need to take it to an auto electrician.
