Cool, How does it handle?

The real question is "How do you handle it?" Badly at the moment lol. Need to wait for the wind to die down a bit so I can use it outside as opposed to trying to fly it in the sitting room! Hopefully it'll be nice and calm at the weekend.

Schern, believe me, they are EXTREMELY difficult to fly.

Try tapping your head, rubbing your tummy circular motion, hopping on one leg and your halfway there. ;)

You need a good P.C tuition simulator first cos you'll smash it up even on a calm day. Helicopters are absolutely fantastic to fly when you get the knack.

A simulator can cost between

Heli's are not easy. I used to fly mid-wing radio controlled aircraft and they weren't what I would call easy until you've had practice. With a plane at least you had time to react to things and they're generally predictable, heli's are another matter.

Find the biggest field you can, on a very still day go and play with it, but you may start visiting the local hobby shop on a regular basis to get bits to repair it with!

Good luck with it all the same! Let us know how you get on.

The funniest thing is that when you rotate the heli, the controls are reversed.

And the experts can fly upside down

Just had it about 6 inches off the ground in the lounge, but its too small an area really. If it starts going you don't have time to correct, its just a case of kill the throttle and wait for it to stop! Gonna take it out in the garden tomorrow after work if its calm.

Good practice to keep the helicopter hovering still would be to hold a pane of glass flat in front of you and put a ball bearing in the middle. Then keep it there.

Wow.. cool new toy Schern!!

I always fancied one of those r/c heli's just never got round to actually buying one!

I hope getting the hang of flying the thing doesn't cost u too much in replacement parts :D

Well, been having a fly today. Slowly getting the hang of it. The garden isn't really big enough to fly it either. Had a couple of flights of about 10-15 seconds which were reasonably well controlled, but if its starts going, I run out of room quite quickly and its just a case of kill the throttle and wait for it to stop. Got a video of it if I can figure out somewhere to host it (its just done on my phone so its a bit difficult to see. Will try and get a better one done on the camera over the weekend). I haven't actually broken anything yet, although I have had to put the main rotor back together a couple of times, and I've lost a couple of rubber grommets when the tail rotor hit stuff and detached, but so far I think its going ok. Will try it at my parents over the weekend (weather allowing) and see how it goes. Once its in the air its not too bad to control, its just difficult to not let it get away from you. All the years of gaming with the analogue sticks is finally paying off!

Must have a powerfull motor...........It's got a Laptop stuck to it's skids...:D

Heres the vid

Its a bit small and unfortunately putfile doesn't give you the option to double size it.

Here we go, this is a much better quality video. You can actually see it this time lol. Still going strong despite all the dodgey landings (read crashes!)

definitely got to work on the landings... I really want one now. Where did SWMBO get it???

Got it from the local model shop in Peterborough. If you do a search for Sabre Helicopters on google or similar it brings up plenty of places that sell them.
