What broadband should I get?

Featured Replies

Why not BT?? Ive been with them for years and never had any problems. I have now got the BT home hub and it works a treat!!+ 5Mb

Been with PlusNet for around 4 years - no problems.

I did recently have to make a slight configuration change to my wireless modem/router as it was taking ages to connect sometimes but this seems to have rectified things.

I am on the Premier package - £21.49/month (50p referral discount :)) and have no complaints.

Orange........Up to 2 meg. Free phone calls to mumbers starting 01/02 24 hrs 7 days a week via the broardband box. Another phone number [you keep your bt number aswell, you end up with 2 phone lines ] Very handy. £ 9.99 a month....You must have an Orange Mobile account though..............Bargain

No to plusnet, my p[arents just dropped again.

Big yes to Zen if you want reliable :)

Sam knows is a great resource to find out whats happening in your exchange, distance from exchange etc.

I've had a few network problems with BT and like all the others, they have outsourced their call centre to India. So I won't be renewing with them when the contract is up.

I'm just in the process of dumping Pipex.

I argued with them for over a year about where the fault was that caused my broadband to drop if we made/received phone calls. They bounced me to BT, who bounced me back to my ISP.......and round and round we go.

The final straw was when they finally accepted the problem was becuase they'd upgraded me to package I didn't want and was pushing the line harder than it could cope, they simply shurgged their shoulders and didn't believe it an example of good customer care to refund even part of the last 12 months charges for me having a service that I could only effectively use half the time because of their blind upgrade policy.

So I'm moving to Zen. They're only round the corner too so I can go over and give them a piece of my mind in person if they screw up..... *wink*

A month ago I would have said plusnet ....but it keeps dropping out and the service is terrible....in 11months time I will be looking for someone else

My plus.net service is brilliant. My router has been connected since just before Christmas 2005!!!
