New 5th Gear

Featured Replies

Sorry to get everyone's hopes up about having the Roomster on, it was in my tv guide

Nice of them to wish the "hamster" well.

The Roomster was the only reason I was watching , and I thought the Hammond bit sounded very insincere

Presumably the Show was recorded several days ago ,so no proper on camera piece about Richard Hammond-hence the voiceover at the end.

Awful.

That's an hour of my life I could have spent doing something much more interesting, like rearranging my sock drawer.

Snap and obviously the programme was filmed weeks ago and they didn't want to disrupt the format/run-time :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn: quite offensive really.

got to agree with everybody , what an utter disappointment , who was/is that pr1ck with VBH , what was the point of doing it at the ACE cafe ? wheres Jason Plato and why weren't they testing cars at Ty Croes , i'll rephrase that why weren't they testing cars period , lets hope Top Gear comes back

Can answer one part - Ty Croes is a building site at the mo - track being reconfigured to include upto 3 miles over 4 (I think) configurations

That was pretty bl00dy 5hite!

Who is that annoying tw@ of a presenter anyway? :thumbdwn:

The new presenter is Tim Lovejoy who also hosts soccer AM on Sky sports.

ahh, i know that name, used to be an XFM presenter.

Gave up after ten minutes, utter rubbish.

That other well known motoring programme.

at least he did admit he wasn't a motoring journalist , but isn't that the whole idea of a motoring programme that you actually employ people who know about what they are talking about

I seem to be agree with nearly all of these posts, imho Fifth Gear was a lot better when it was only 30mins long and test drove at least one "everyday" car (usually).

Just sent off an e-mail to fifthgear letting my feelings known, if enough people do the same they may take notice

Big mistake trying to copy top gear...........Fith gear was better

Wont anyone one make a car program that tests cars .....I don't want to race a plane or a toy car.....now no one knows how well those cars go....and as for this craze of going sideways round corners on a track ....all it does is loose time

Shame Channel 4 stopped making Driven, would be nice to have at least 1 car programme that actually tests cars.

Didn't see 5th gear last night but sorry to hear it's gone that way.

Saw it last night and have to say it was a pile of $$$$$. They have done a fine job of

(m/$)ucking the programme up- that new guy is useless. Didn't Top Gear do an identical car vs plane thing a while back?:thumbdwn:

Top Gear have done it with Harrier Jump Jets, and Apache Gunships.

I felt so fed up about it I also e-mailed them to tell them exactly what I thought. I've never, ever written a letter of complaint before, so it must be bad.

What a waste of an hour it was.

What a load of C.R.A.P. I wont be watching this again. I am disgusted with the programme. It used to be quite good. Where are road tests and topical items??

Get a grip Channel 5!!!
