Where is the pollen filter

Featured Replies

My new (to me) octavia (2000), bought from a dealership has a fish pond in the rear footwell. Have searched lots of threads that tell me to look at the pollen filter or A/C pipe...

Where is the pollen filter and how do I check / get to it please.

Thanks in advance

BMJ

It has been covered before. Its under the scuttle panel, just lift up the front of the n/s section.

I'd check it hanst had a new regulator in the back door and the membrane isnt in tatters and not sealing.

Scuttle panel... is that just behind the fimble jibbet? ;)

Now googling to find where my scuttle panel is... Am I being thick?

In front of the windscreen, under the wipers.

Hope you can remove the infamous wiper arms

Thanks both..

Not sure it is the pollen filter now... There was a real puddle in the back... and I have read that it appears in the back first.. but it's really bone dry in the front, right up to the raised bit of the floor between the front and back...

The car has had a new alarm fitted though.. and I read that the alarm failing is a possible sign of the leak though...

Can't see a problem with the door seals either though..

Sounds more like either the door membrane (under the inside trim panel, not the rubber seal round the frame) or a missing sealing plug under the relevant footwell than an aircon problem to me.

If it is leaking through the front you notice at the back first as the carpet is alot thinner.

And you dont need to remove the arms to get at the pollen filter.
