I'm now lowered!

Featured Replies

Spent the morning putting on some H&R springs I bought from Eddy to my 4x4. (Cheers chap!)

Took it out for a drive and am pretty impressed. The thing that bothered me the most about the stock suspension on the 4x4 was the pitch and dive. Well there isnt really any now:D Rolls loads less in the corners but as I suspected is bouncy, probably due to the extra weight I have the in the boot...

Next up I think will be some adjustable dampers to try and stop that, also got front and rear arbs arriving on monday, hopefully might get it all sorted:)

For those that are interested will post a pic tomorrow to show how much it has gone down by, a little bit more than I hoped it would but is fine:)

What ARB have you got for the rear?

r32 one, and a small amount of massaging the spare wheel well. Got some rustproofer and silver paint to repair any paint damage. If I can't get it to fit and still be able to put the spare wheel in then will not bother, and wait for someone to finally deliver the goods on a 4x4 one!

I reckon the back would be a little higher if there wasnt a lot of stereo in the boot...

My Skoda badge on the back was all corroded and looked rubbish, so thought I would try the following, not sure whether to keep it or buy a new skoda badge...

Looks good mate - nice to see you've still got some personalisation on the rear as well, like the good old Focus days :D

Vauxhall lettering again? :rubchin:

I'm not sure about the central 4x4 badge personally, but if you like it - that's what's important!

ah how dare you!! Ford lettering from the focus, Think I used MONDEO, FIESTA and LX to make it up:)

lol - sorry mate! Just looked a little 'Vauxhally' to me - I apologise sincerely ;)

TBH Ford's not that much better though is it? :D

Henry - looking good mate.

Id highly recommend the koni sport adjustable dampers - mine have been spot on with my lowering springs. :)

I think you'll like it even more with the uprated ARB's in place.... :)

Cheers guys:)

Lee, will definately look into it!

Just fitted the rear ARB from the r32, minimal movement of the spare wheel well needed, just a breaker bar to massage it slightly...

WOW is all I can say:D :D:thumbup: Such a dufference, had to do a roundabout near home 4 times as I just kept smiling and going faster flatter:P
