Nowt crap about them ! It's just wear and tear that happens to all cars NOT just Skoda's !!!! Any car with the same set-up as the Skuds can have the same problem of rotted spring cups and if it's a lesser model like a Ford or a Vauxhall then the rest of the car will have rotted away too:D

i've never seen it happen bofore!

It is pretty common. Have done plenty that have gone and some that have been very close to. Both my Felicias were about to go. Repleced the suspension on the pick up and sold the hatch.

Hi

I've got the same problem - I'm not a mechanic, but could this be a DIY job? If so, how do I go about it, and where do you recommend for parts? (Mine's a P reg 1.3 LXi estate)

Cheers

Nick

Some peeps just love their scuds but i think many just come here to find out how to fix them :D

It can be a diy job Nick Felicia, but you'll need spring compressors i believe.
