Number Plates With Model Name In

Featured Replies

No offence , but I think they are the worst personal plates.

Especially when it's just a bog standard format and they have their name at the bottom to explain that , Yes , David John Evans really did pay money for H27 DJE

I do agree in the cases of 2 or 3 number on the old style prefix's, but i would never put my name on the bottom of my plate, that i agree........not good.

Care to explain why they nicknamed you tippex, assuming it's suitable for a family audience?:rofl::rofl:

Chris

*chortle* yes it's perfectly safe, tsk, some people:rolleyes:

It was the nickname I was given at school because I have a small grey patch in my hair (been there since I was 10) that looks like a spilled tip-ex in my hair:rolleyes: I guess it could have been a lot worse:cool:

School kids eh! it stuck though and I've been called it ever since!

As for not wanting to pay

About 20 years ago I saw BA 13 Y (BABY) on a iirc a ferrari in Huddersfield.

Someone near me has PU55Y on a gold 80's merc, that looks quite good.

Best one I saw was 819 MAN (big man) on the isle of man, fixed to a pimped out black merc!

I agree, initals arnt as good as nicknames :P

Seriously though, if you have the money to get *** VRS or whatnot then hairy muff, becuase if the next car that you buy is a Ferrari the plate would look out of place - so you would have to buy a new plate for each car :o .

But IMO, with an initials or nickname plate its much nicer to transfer across.

Also, nicknames or initials tend to be a bit more obscure therefore cheaper :D I got P*3MBO for a mere

Well I purchased R11 ODR ( my name being RHODRI ) for a lovely £250 and I was offered around £5000 for it last time of asking, still not selling it. I belive it's advertised for around £10k by some companies as thats how much the market values it. I guess there must have been a few enquires as there a couple of big Rhodri's in Wales now.

I have the opportunity to buy J4Y RS and J4Y BY a few years ago when i purchased my current plate.I was looking for rs turbo fiesta at the time.

Ended up just buying the plate i have now.

I've got B16 GSL on retention which with the L altered slightly looked cool when i had a GSI,keep meaning to sell it and if i eventually do then i'll probably use the money to get a VRS plate:thumbup:

I have a couple of ideas for my car, but cannot get past paying the
Rhodri Giggs used to play for one of the local non-league footy teams near us.

You might be more familiar with his big brother Ryan, who I think also plays a bit.

Rhodri was driving a Boxster that I suspect wasn't paid for with his wages from Bacup Borough FC!!

Last time I heard about him was he was playing for my local city football club Bangor City FC, but he was jailed for something !

Im going the easy route and changing my name by deed poll to T429 LKE

Not sure where you are looking, but DVLA currently have 262 'VRS' plates for

There is a Furby vRS near me with the plate M9 VRS, which I think is really cool - a bit like MY VRS :D

Personally I wouldn't mind a plate that says EEX, which is what I tend to use as my initialls.

My Dad is co manager with a bloke called Binoy and he had a porsche with the plate B1NOY. Very cool

I am not looking at VRS plates.

Was thinking about Y31 OVR with a slightly moved O to get Y31O VR, or Y31O RS - check the sig ;)

Was also thinking Y31 VRS, Y31 TOY, Y31 FUN, etc.

Might need a slightly illegal font to get the desired effect tho

Crikey, I know what you are getting at now but it took a while for the penny to drop. I ain't being funny pal but I reckon that's a poor choice of plate especially as no one would know what it was supposed to mean. It also starts in a 'Y' which no matter which one you choose all cost at least £499
