Number Plates With Model Name In

Featured Replies

At my local last night (The Yews-Great Glen) and there was a Furby with the plate *** VRS (slightly modded black one - looking good) and an Audi TT with the plate TT***.

Anyone on here got a 'VRS' plate or a plate with the model name in it?

Saw a MK1 Octavia vRS with plate that read RS OCTY which was cool. Currently have S555 VRS on retention or is it? S55 VRS I'll have to check!

WH05 VRS Is owned by someone on here. Not sure who'5 it is though

MY05 VRS is on an 05 Octavia VRS too.

A while back I discovered that

R50 MFG

R500 HMY

were both still available from the DVLA. Obviously only good to someone who drives a real RS ;)

C 7YP R lives by me , as does S 20DD H , both on hondas fairly obviously.

Oh , and I saw something along the lines of 735 IL on a BMW 645......

Nowt to do with the car but my boss has PR05 POT on his Audi and P80 POT on his TVR - company name is Pro Spot

When I worked at a Honda dealer we had T9PE R and S2000 XX

I've seen B19 VRS [bIG VRS ] on a Furbie vRS........Don'y know who's it is though.....;)

Am sure I've seen that plate on a car advertised on Pistonheads classifieds a while back

I think I'm begining to sound like one of them 'mines better than yours' type, but when I was at Uni in Lancaster about xx years ago, my neighbour had an Uno Turbo with a 'dimma' style big body kit Reg B16 UNO

I Can see * 666 VRS just outside my office on a MK1 Octavia vRS

Mines not related to my car, it's my nickname-

T1PEX

Cost me a bl**dy fortune to outbid the manufacturers of Tip-Ex on it, but i'd always wanted it!!

Care to explain why they nicknamed you tippex, assuming it's suitable for a family audience?:rofl::rofl:

I know it well!

Again, not mine's better than yours but I saw a type R on the M1 with the plate

T4PE R (with the 4 slightly doctored to look like a Y). The guy driving it looked like an ar*e!!!

I have a couple of ideas for my car, but cannot get past paying the £499 the DVLA want for the plates!

I'm sure these types of plates used to be £249 + £80 transfer fee a few years back?!

Probably , but then a few years back the VRS wasn't popular

BORA passed me yesterday with reg 'V???DUB'

Mine is my nickname too P*3MBO

Always wanted one and bought it as soon as I saw it on tinterweb, even though I had and N reg car at the time!! It was almost as if I bought a new car for the plates and not the other way around!

Wasn't meaning vrs type plates, but more prefix style in general.

(I was going to call them the old style, but then, to me, the old style was when the year letter came at the RHS ;) - showing my age!)

There's a brand new Audi TT in Peterborough with "TT" as the last part of his reg.

I don't see what all the fuss is with having your car marque/model in the numberplate - my Skoda's got badges on the back of the car (and one on the front grille) which gives away all the details. These are something the car came with from the factory.

Seen M7 BUG on a VW Beetle, slightly modified 7 though.

I think your initials are the best Personal Plate and I'm sad enough to have some.

Also I couldnt afford plates with MATT made up in it at the time.

No offence , but I think they are the worst personal plates.

Especially when it's just a bog standard format and they have their name at the bottom to explain that , Yes , David John Evans really did pay money for H27 DJE

Its each to their own. I'm seriously considering getting a private plate of my initials. I won't bother with the footnote explaining it, its more for myself than anyone else.
